Recent studies have shown that 21% of children (ages 3-17) exhibit behavior challenges. That is approximately 1 out of every 5 children! 1 out of every 5 children in the school system; daycare setting; soccer team; etc. Furthermore, it is widely recognized that many educators and parents face challenges in addressing behavior issues effectively. Our mission is to provide support and empower educators and parents by collaboration. Through collaboration, our goal to provide unique expertise; professional insight on behavior challenges and professional development from all parties involved.
Tabias Hilliard, Founder of DIY Behavior, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) - Hello! Growing up in small town of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, I moved to Fayetteville, NC in 2015. My journey in behavior therapy began in 2017, where I've found my true passion lies in helping others navigate the intricate realm of applied behavior analysis. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree from Methodist University in Psychology and a Master of Science degree from Capella University, specializing in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, I've honed my skills to make a meaningful impact. Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to advocating, supporting, and educating parents, guardians, and teachers to facilitate transformative behavioral changes in their children. It's this dedication that led me to establish DIY Behavior, a platform aimed at serving not just the local community but eventually reaching out globally, spreading the essence of behavior analysis far and wide.
Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy (ABA Therapy) - Through evidence-based resources, direct support, and a wealth of practical tools, we aim to collaborate with instructors and parents with their approach to challenging behaviors. While equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to advocate for their child's unique needs, we emphasize collaboration with all parties involved which promotes positive behavior change for our kiddos.
Our services focus on supporting our kiddo's behavioral development while also providing resources and support for instructors and parents involved in their care:
- 1 on 1 Direct Treatment
- Parent/Instructor support sessions
- Staff training
- Structured play dates
- Group/team activities
- Virtual consulting
